Data Mining: Genders are Coming to PokemonGO + Gen 2

Ok we have the new apk and we try to find more information within it. From the first look there seems to be parts of the code indicating that Genders will be Part of The Game From Now On.

All sounds of Gen 2 Pokemon have been added to the new update!!! HEAR THEM HERE

There is a bunch of code indicating that we might be able to customize our avatar with hair and clothes etc etc. Not only that but it seems will be purchasing those items. Check these

Where do you see this source code? can we help you with data mining by sharing this source code ?

The source code isn’t public. People are pulling the app from the app store and reversing the APK

Because it’s and APK, some of the code is java.
Java is not turned into machine code until you install the app (ART) or when you run the app (JIT).
Until then, the code is storage as bytecode, which is easy to disassemble back to Java code.
APK also contains resource files like strings which is also compiled into non-machine code so it can also be disassembled.

The core of Pokemon Go is most likely in a native language like C/C++, Python or Object-C.
That would mean that they can have a cross-platform core, so one set of code for both iOS and Android.
For Androids part, native code is compiled in to a binary file called library and has the file extension “.so”
Native language can’t be disassembled to the original code, but there are some software that will try to create code that would “most likely” perform the same tasks (to some extent at least). Only other way is to disassemble the native code into Assembly code, which happens to be the most low level code and it is very complex even if you know how to write code in it. Don’t be fooled, not even the Assembly code will be a perfect representation of what the code looks like, but more of a “what it could look like”.
