Pokémon GO to be released in India tomorrow
Jio Infocomm Limited (Jio) and Niantic will be working together to bring Pokemon GO in India tomorrow (December 14). “We are delighted to partner with Jio to launch Pokemon GO in India.It’s exciting to see Pokemon fans in India step out and explore their neighbourhoods in search of Pokemon,and Jio’s disruptive high speed 4G LTE Network will be an excellent way to experience the gamw” said John Hanke, chief executive officer and founder of Niantic.
Following the release, Reliance Digital Stores and select partner premises in India will appear as ‘PokeStops’ and/or ‘Gyms’ in the Pokemon GO world starting tomorrow. Jio retail locations will have charging stations to enhance user experience and make it last longer while battling with friends or just luring Pokemon inside the stores.

Our partnership with Niantic not only brings access to the Pokemon GO app but also opens the door to more opportunities for our customers to enjoy content on Jio’s one-of-a-kind mobile broadband network.” , Mathew Oommen, president of Reliance Jio commented.
Jio Sim Customers will also benefit by downloading and playing Pokemon GO during the “Happy New Year” offer by Jio, which includes no data charges till March 31, 2017.
